Azerbaijan isn't simply demonstrating its investment potential; it's inviting the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB), multilateral development banks and export credit agencies, sovereign investors, commercial banking institutions, developers, and technology companies from around the world to cooperation, Huseyn Huseynov, Advisor to the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, said at a forum on Azerbaijan's investment prospects, organized as part of the IDB's annual meetings in Baku, Report informs.
"We invite you to be part of the creation of projects that are not only 'green' but also commercially sustainable. Projects secured by state guarantees, strategically structured to address each risk area: construction, sales, currency, and political. Projects designed to meet institutional capital due diligence requirements, the credit standards of multilateral lenders, and the risk-adjusted return expectations of private investors. We specifically encourage the expansion of blended finance and Islamic finance instruments and ask you to invest not only in generation but also across the entire value chain: grid modernization, large-scale energy storage infrastructure, and regional energy transmission corridors," emphasized Huseynov.
As the advisor to the minister noted, Azerbaijan is entering a qualitatively new phase of national development-a phase defined not by hydrocarbon wealth or oil revenues, but by technology, innovation, and the human capital at its disposal.
"We offer investors and partners a stable, predictable environment, strategic connectivity between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, competitive and abundant clean energy resources, and a clear, consistent commitment to reform and modernization. But most importantly, we offer what no regulations, guarantees, or incentive packages can provide. We offer political will and sovereign reliability. Azerbaijan is ready to partner with you in shaping green technologies, industry, and opportunities for future generations," added Huseynov.
