Azerbaijan increases spending on furniture imports

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan imported furniture and its parts worth $119.1 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.
This is $20.3 million or 20.6% more compared to the first nine months of last year.
During the reporting period, the cost of importing furniture and its spare parts accounted for 0.8% of Azerbaijan's total import expenses.
In January-September this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth nearly $34.5 billion with foreign countries. Of the trade turnover, 19.86 billion accounted for exports, while $14.6 billion accounted for imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 25%, while imports increased by 16%.
