Azerbaijan increases imports of carpets by over 50%

From January through May this year, Azerbaijan imported carpets and other textile floor coverings worth $8.632 million.

This is $3.143 million (57.3 percent) more than in the same period last year, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

The export value of carpets and other textile floor coverings by Azerbaijan for five months amounted to $147,000, which is $30,000 (25.6 percent) more than a year earlier.

In the reporting period, imports of carpets and other textile floor coverings amounted to 0.2 percent of the total imports of Azerbaijan.
