Azerbaijan increases cacao imports from Ivory Coast by 73-fold

In the first half of the year, Azerbaijan imported 584.2 tons of cacao solids worth $2 million, which is 2.6% more in quantitative terms, and 13% in value terms than in the same period last year, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

Azerbaijan imported 375.5 tons (-16.6%) of cacao solids worth $1.4 million (-8%) from Turkiye, 56.3 tons (-15.2%) worth $204,000 (+17.3%) from Russia, 44.7 tons (+73%) worth $149,000 (+33%) form the Netherlands, 45 (no imports last year) tons worth $72,000 from China, and 23.6 tons (+73 times) worth $69,000 (+30 times) from Ivory Coast.

Turkiye supplied 74.2% of the 978 tons of Azerbaijan’s cocoa solids imports (from 22 countries) in 2021.
