Azerbaijan considerably increases imports of jewelry from US

In January-July of this year, Azerbaijan imported 1,732 kg of jewelry made of silver and other precious metals worth $25.3 million from foreign countries.

According to Report’s calculations based on State Statistics Committee data, this is twice as high year-on-year in terms of value and makes a 37% increase in terms of quantity.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 56.53 kg (+39%) of jewelry worth $11.8 million (95% more than a year ago) from Italy, 12 kg (+84%) worth $2.5 million (+98%) from Switzerland, 929 kg (+49%) worth $2.2 million (+2.4 times) from Türkiye, 6.6 kg (+2.9 times) worth $1.68 million (+3.2 times) from France, 12 kg (+3.4 times) worth $1.63 million (+2.4 times) from the US.

Italy accounted for 50.4% of jewelry imported into Azerbaijan (from 23 countries) in 2022, worth $27 million.
