Azerbaijan exports 142,900 tons of tomato paste worth $172.1M

Azerbaijan exported 142,900 tons of tomato paste in January-July 2026, Report said, citing the State Customs Committee.

The value of the exported tomato paste amounted to $172.1 million.

Compared with the same period last year, tomato paste exports decreased by 669 tons, or 0.4%, in volume, while their value increased by $15.1 million, or 9.6%.

Revenue from tomato paste exports accounted for 0.9% of Azerbaijan's total export earnings during the reporting period.

In the first seven months of the year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries worth $29.22 billion, up 1.3% year-on-year.

Exports accounted for $19.34 billion of total foreign trade turnover, while imports stood at $9.88 billion. Exports increased by 27% over the year, while imports decreased by 27.4%.

As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a positive foreign trade balance of $9.46 billion, which was 5.9 times higher than a year earlier.
