Azerbaijan 14 times increases profit from export of tobacco & its substitutes

In January-February this year, Azerbaijan imported tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes for $10.9 million, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

This is $3.6 million (24.8%) more than in the same period last year.

The cost of tobacco and its industrial substitutes exported by Azerbaijan for two months amounted to $12.3 million, which is $4 million or 14 times more than a year earlier.

In the reporting period, the cost of importing tobacco and its industrial substitutes amounted to 0.55% of Azerbaijan’s total import costs, and export earnings - 0.07% of total export earnings.
