AIIF 2026 discusses economic cooperation between South Caucasus and Central Asia

Participants in the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku discussed expanding economic cooperation between the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia, strengthening investment opportunities and enhancing regional connectivity.

According to Report, citing the Ministry of Economy, the issues were discussed during a panel session titled "Azerbaijan at the Center of Strategic Partnerships between the South Caucasus and Central Asia: A Key Driver of Regional Cooperation."

The session was moderated by Orkhan Amashov, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of AnewZ TV.

The panel brought together Taleh Ziyadov, adviser to the Minister of Economy; Sezai Uçarmak, Deputy Minister of Trade of Türkiye; Bagdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund; Balazs Hendricks, Executive Director of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Representation in Budapest; Kıvanç Zaimler, CEO of Türkiye"s Sabancı Holding, and others.

Participants exchanged views on establishing a platform for cooperation between the South Caucasus and Central Asia, expanding trade and investment ties in the Caspian region, and complementing political dialogue with practical initiatives in business, infrastructure and institutional cooperation.
