Presidential envoy: 24,000 hectares of arable land await entrepreneurs

More than 24,000 hectares of arable land in the Agdam, Aghdara and Khojaly districts are awaiting entrepreneurs, Emin Huseynov, the Azerbaijani President's Special Representative in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts said.

Report's correspondent in Aghdam quoted Huseynov as saying during a panel discussion themed State Support Mechanisms in the Agricultural Sector, held as part of the 100th Jubilee Agribusiness Festival, that out of the more than 50,000 hectares of arable land in the three districts, 24,000 hectares have not yet been brought into circulation and are ready for use.

"I call on all entrepreneurs to come as the land is available, the infrastructure is in place, and state support mechanisms are provided. What is needed is the willingness and confidence to expand your activities into agriculture, including the agrarian sector of the liberated territories. Entrepreneurship in these areas is not only a matter of profit but also a matter of honor and the revival of these lands," Huseynov said.
