Niyazi Amirbayov: Agricultural production should be aligned with end-consumer needs

Agricultural production should be organized in line with the needs of end consumers by applying a technology-driven approach to the value chain, Niyazi Amirbayov, CEO of Agro Dairy LLC and Chairman of the Association of Grain Producers and Processors of Azerbaijan, said during a panel discussion at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku.

Report quotes him as saying the agricultural production process should be assessed not only in terms of output volume but also with consideration for market needs and end-consumer expectations.

"We need to look at the value chain from a technological perspective and understand what the end consumer requires. Whether the consumer is a business, farm, feed producer, store or the end consumer who buys dairy products every day, we have a large number of data points."

He stressed that these data can be used to identify actual market needs and develop production decisions more accurately.
