The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) supports the transformation of countries' agrifood systems, FAO Representative in Azerbaijan Muhammad Nasar Hayat said on the second day of the Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW 2026).
Report quotes him as saying FAO provides this support under its 2022–2031 Climate Change Strategy.
"Our goal is to ensure that farmers, particularly smallholders, women and young people, have access to the knowledge, technologies, financing and partnerships they need to successfully adapt to climate change," he said.
