"Azerbaijan forms a new model uniting all 'smart villages'. We can call it a national brand," Akbar Abbasov, director of the Agrarian Science and Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The 'Smart Village' project is being implemented in the Ikinji Agali village of the liberated Zangilan region of Azerbaijan. The ministry has been allocated AZN 10.8 million for this purpose.
Abbasov stressed that work is underway to establish the Zangazur corridor on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev: "A 6-lane highway will pass through the northern part of Agali village, and a railway line through the southern part. As a result, the 'smart village' will be located at the intersection of strategic roads."
