The Azerbaijani government will finance a significant portion of logistics costs to stimulate the export of agricultural products, Azerbaijan's Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov stated, Report's correspondent in Zangilan informs.
Speaking at a conference on the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing in Azerbaijan for 2026–2030, Mammadov noted that during exports, 70% of logistics costs for products transported by local trucks will be covered by the state.
"For shipments using foreign trucks, 50% of logistics costs will be financed by the government. At the same time, a mechanism for subsidizing interest rates on sectoral loans will be applied to increase investment in agriculture. These steps will help expand sales markets for agricultural products, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen export potential," the minister emphasized.
