Huseynov: Azerbaijan needs about $3.5B in investment for agricultural dev't

According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing in Azerbaijan for 2026–2030 requires 5.9 billion manats (just over $3.47 billion) in investment, Rashad Huseynov, Head of the Agricultural Research Center (ARC), said, as quoted by Report's correspondent in Zangilan.

Speaking during a conference on the State Program, he explained that approximately 37% of the required investment will come from state support, while 63% will be provided by the private sector.

"State support will be delivered through subsidies, concessional financing mechanisms, and other incentive tools. The program aims to increase production in the agrarian sector, expand export potential, and strengthen food security," Huseynov emphasized.
