On May 5, an expanded meeting between Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin was held at the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, a Memorandum on cooperation in the supply of tractor equipment was signed by Khanlar Fatiyev and Sergey Avramenko, General Director of Minsk Tractor Plant.

The MP noted that industrial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus, which was established following President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Belarus in 2006, continues successfully: "We began cooperating with Belarusian companies and plants in 2007, including Minsk Tractor Plant and Minsk Automobile Plant. Following the President’s visit, Ganja Automobile Plant was assigned to engage in negotiations, and today, after 18 years, we continue working with these enterprises and others in Belarus, with visible results," he stated.

Fatiyev stated that cooperation in the production of Belarusian tractors continues: "With the agreement we signed yesterday, we continue our work in this regard. Currently, we produce approximately 700-800 tractors annually. The production of municipal equipment at the plant has also been carried out for a long time. We started working in this field many years ago. Waste collection vehicles are produced based on a trilateral agreement between Germany's Haller company, Minsk Automobile Plant, and Ganja Automobile Plant, and this cooperation will continue."
