Azerbaijan starts exporting strawberries to one more country

In January-June 2022, Azerbaijan exported 5,754 tons (+98.8%) of strawberries and wild strawberries (fresh) worth $10.248 million (+2 times), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Of this, 5,488 tons of products (+2 times) worth $9.876 million were sold to Russia (+2), 252.68 tons (+51 %) worth $360,120 (+96.7 %) to Kazakhstan, and 13.5 tons worth $12,150 to Belarus.

This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011), supplies were made to Belarus. During the reporting period, Azerbaijan bought 40.91 tons (-2.6%) of strawberries worth $102,280 (+31%) from abroad, including 34.93 tons (-16.1%) worth $87,330 (+12% increase) from Turkiye and 5.98 tons (+18.8 times) worth $14,940 (+23.4 times) from Iran.
