Azerbaijan’s vegetable oil, fat exports almost doubled in November

During January-November 2024, Azerbaijan exported 15,953 tons of vegetable oil and animal fat worth over $25.5 million, marking an increase of 34.5% and 32%, respectively, year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.
The share of vegetable oil and animal fat in Azerbaijan's main non-oil product exports makes 0.96%.
In November, the country exported 2,260 tons of vegetable oil and animal fat, valued at $2.775 million, which is 1.95 times and 57.6% more respectively compared to the same period last year.
During the first 11 months of this year, Azerbaijan exported main non-oil products worth over $2.648 million, which is 2.4% less compared to the same period in 2023.
Overall, Azerbaijan carried out foreign trade transactions worth over $43.109 billion in January-November of 2024. Exports accounted for almost $24.338 billion and imports were responsible for over $18.771 billion of that amount. Over the past year, exports decreased by 22.8 percent, while imports grew by 18.7 percent.
