Azerbaijan's agricultural output totaled 14B manats last year

In 2025, total agricultural output in Azerbaijan amounted to 14 billion manats ($8.24 billion).

Report informs that Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said this at a meeting chaired by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and dedicated to agricultural issues.

According to him, this output was divided almost equally between two areas - livestock breeding and crop production:

"This gives us grounds to take into account the important role of both areas in the development of the country's agricultural sector and to set our priorities accordingly. In general, fruit and vegetable production, grain legumes and potatoes in crop production, and milk, beef, poultry, mutton and eggs in livestock breeding account for a significant share of agricultural output.

Fruit and vegetable production is useful for the country in terms of increasing employment, creating added value in agricultural production and boosting export potential. Although the production of grain legumes is generally less economically efficient compared to other crop products, it is very important from the point of view of food security, as you emphasized, and therefore it will remain one of our priority areas. The share of milk and meat production in the agricultural sector is quite high. This gives us grounds to attach importance to priority areas for the development of livestock breeding in the new State Program."
