Azerbaijan's agricultural output rises 2.8% to 8.8 billion manats

Azerbaijan produced agricultural goods worth 8.8 billion manats ($5.1 billion) in January-July 2026, up 2.8% compared with the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Livestock production increased by 2.4%, while crop production grew by 3.2% during the reporting period.

Crop production accounted for 50.6% of total agricultural output, while livestock production made up 49.4%.

The agricultural growth rate increased from 2.2% in January-June to 2.8% by the end of July, driven by stronger growth in crop production. Growth in crop production accelerated from 1.8% to 3.2%, while the growth rate in livestock production declined from 2.5% to 2.4%.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 348,200 tons of meat in live weight, 1.32 million tons of milk, 1.43 billion eggs, 13,500 tons of wool and 155.8 tons of cocoons.

Compared with the same period last year, meat production increased by 3.8%, milk production by 0.1% and egg production by 0.7%. Wool production declined by 1.9%, while cocoon production fell by 16.5%.
