Azerbaijan resumes potato imports from Egypt

Azerbaijan imported 126,922 tons (-3%) of potatoes (excluding seed potatoes) worth $34.9 million (+2.6%) in January–October 2023, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 48,901 tons (+85%) of potato worth $12.3 million (+84.5%) from Russia, 31,881 tons (+20 times) worth $9.95 million (+20 times) from Belarus, 28,603 tons (-31%) worth $7.45 million from Iran (-17%), 9,718 tons (-60%) worth $3 million (-59%) from Pakistan, and 4,324 tons (-86%) worth $1.13 million (-85%) from Türkiye.
After a break of 1 year and 4 months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply of potatoes from Egypt (152 tons worth $69,000).
