Azerbaijan resumes pesticide supplies from two countries

Azerbaijan imported 3,822 tons (+6.6%) of pesticides (chemical substances for plant protection) worth $32.841 million (+3% ) in January-May of this year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting perid, Azerbaijan imported 2,102 tons (+12%) worth $15.789 million (+1.3%) from Türkiye, 424 tons (+64%) worth $2.962 million (+46%) ffrom China, 359 tons (+9.5%) worth $3.2 million (-5%) from Russia, 155.2 tons (+41%) worth $2.35 million (+2 times) from Germany, 102.1 tons (-52%) worth 2.24 million (-31%) from France.

Azerbaijan resumed the purchase of pesticides from Slovenia (20 kg worth $360) after a year and 8 months, and from Taiwan (60 kg worth $1,540) after a year and 3 months .

Turkiye accounted for 58.7% of the 6,357 tons of pesticides imported to Azerbaijan (from 42 countries) in 2022.
