Azerbaijan resumes import of organic fertilizers from US

During the first eight months of 2022, Azerbaijan bought 675.51 tons of animal and vegetable fertilizers (- 25.3%) worth $1.346 million (+23%) from abroad, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

A total of 529.61 tons (-35.5%) worth $721,850 (-4.5%) were purchased from Turkiye, 39.01 tons (+50%) worth $331,410 (+37%) from Italy, 38.01 tons (+91%) worth $88,910 (+2.8 times) from Spain, 19.28 tons worth $57,120 from Lithuania (there was no supply a year ago), 0.31 tons (-88.1 %) worth $29,830 (+ 7.5 times) from the Netherlands.

After a break of three years and four months, the supply from the United States of America (US) has been resumed, with a total of 1.1 tons of fertilizers worth $16,790 imported from that country.

During the reporting period (as a year ago, only to Georgia), Azerbaijan exported 3,120 tons (+26.2%) of animal and vegetable fertilizers worth $592,800 (+2.6 times).
