Azerbaijan plans to increase milk production by 10% by 2030

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture has announced plans to increase milk production by 10% by 2030, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Seymur Safarli said at a meeting on the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture for 2026-2030, Report informs.
"To achieve this goal, the state will support the creation of dairy and meat clusters. As part of this, approximately 1,000 new livestock farms of varying sizes will be established, and farmers will also be provided with breeding stock. The plan is to increase the proportion of purebred animals in the herd by at least fourfold," the deputy minister noted.
Safarli emphasized that, to increase milk production, subsidy mechanisms for the industry are planned to be improved.
"This framework includes expanding state support mechanisms for milk producers. Furthermore, assistance will be provided for the creation of 90 milk collection points across the country. This step will allow producers to more conveniently deliver their products, improve the supply of raw materials to processing plants, and strengthen the production chain," he said.
According to the deputy minister, strengthening the livestock feed base is also a key priority.
