Azerbaijan imports 44 tons of hazelnuts from Georgia

Azerbaijan has imported 15,600 tons of hazelnuts worth $81.2 million from Georgia since August 2020.
Report's local bureau mentions, citing the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, that the volume of exports increased by 50% and the value rose 52% compared to the previous year.
During the reporting period, Georgian hazelnuts were mainly imported by Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and other European countries.
Among the neighboring countries, Azerbaijan received the least amount of hazelnuts from Georgia - 44 tons. Russia, another neighbor, purchased 756 tons of hazelnuts from Georgia, Turkey bought 530 tons, and Armenia - 885 tons.
