Azerbaijan exports record volume of potatoes

In January-October, Azerbaijan exported 91,834.66 tons of potatoes worth $39.86 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is the highest figure in the last ten years (official statistics on foreign trade, available in the public domain, until 2011). Compared to a year ago, exports increased by 18.1% and 12.93%, respectively.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 139,627.02 tons of potatoes worth $33.9 million. Compared to the same period last year, imports in price terms increased by 38.41%, in qualitative terms - by 39.71%. Potato supplies were resumed from Ukraine after 1 year and 5 months, from France - 1 year and 4 months, from Egypt - two years.
