Azerbaijan, Ethiopia discuss agricultural innovation

Azerbaijan and Ethiopia have held discussions on the application of innovative technologies in agriculture, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Economy Ministry.

An Azerbaijani delegation visited Ethiopia, where First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev met with Ethiopia's State Minister for Agriculture Desalegn Teshale Wolde. The sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the agrarian sector, food security, agricultural product processing, and the use of innovative technologies.

In a meeting with Ethiopia's Minister of Water and Energy Habtamu Itefa Geleta, cooperation opportunities in energy, water resource management, and renewable energy were reviewed. Both parties emphasized the importance of experience sharing in green energy and sustainable development.

The Azerbaijani delegation also familiarized itself with the activities of the Modern Ethiopia Service for Organized Benefits (MESOB), learning about mechanisms for organizing public services on a unified platform, digital solutions, and improving citizen satisfaction.

During the visit, Azerbaijan presented its favorable business and investment environment, the development of the non‑oil sector, and opportunities for regional economic cooperation.
