Azerbaijan, China discuss expanding cooperation in agriculture

Azerbaijan and China have discussed strengthening cooperation in agriculture, enhancing the legal framework, establishing a joint working group, boosting trade in agricultural and food products, transferring advanced technologies, and developing collaboration in agricultural research and innovation, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture.
These topics were addressed during a meeting between Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, and China's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei.
Minister Mammadov provided detailed information on state support for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan and emphasized that cooperation between the two countries is growing dynamically across all areas. He noted that Azerbaijan fully supports initiatives aimed at deepening economic and trade relations with China.
Ambassador Lu Mei highlighted the friendly ties between the two countries and reiterated China's interest in expanding partnerships in all spheres. She noted the great potential for cooperation in agriculture, innovation, and technology.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in advancing the discussed areas of collaboration.
